Alex Kelman – U17

Siberian artist and music producer Alex Kelman, who was behind such critically acclaimed Russian bands as Punk TV, Hot Zex, Dsh!Dsh!, TonySoprano and more… is now releasing his new album “U17”.
Alex Kelman’s musical output is a mixture of beautifully noisy guitars, catchy dance beats and arresting synths, layered with captivating vocals.
Within 7 tracks and 3 remixes Alex Kelman’s new material push the ideas of saving true human relationships in the strange time of global nets and the emptiness in between. He dedicated this album to his friend Artur Tsavhilov,  a very talented Estonian music journalist, who died at the age of 47, in late summer 2017. The album and it´s art conception were created in collaboration with different artists from Sweden, Russia and Italy.

„U17“
The track is referring to Dante Alighieri and to his 9 circles, but nowadays there should be at least 17 circles. Cities all over are getting really huge and there are hardly any possibilities to find love and friends over the huge distances.

„I-Guy“
„Il pompino figlio zoccoli“. A dose of humor „Italian Style“, where Pinocchio constantly holds his iPhone and uses only T9, he doesn’t realize the proper meaning of words anymore.

„Plavna“
People need to pay more attention on other people, otherwise we will be lost in a world of emptiness.

„Ambulance“
Inspired by a trip to Mumbai, India. Needed a mental ambulance every 3 seconds there.

„Chinese Pilot“
It´s a story of dreams and reality mixed with different life conceptions.
You should believe your pilot, who can even save you from a burning aircraft,
otherwise it´s a jump into nowhere.

„Flight“
And this is a smooth flight, safe and calm, well-constructed. Finally all good.
You can sleep well, happy end.

„Outro“
Just a few nordic strings & beats for some extra relaxation.
